Homework Policy
The purpose of homework is:
To help to develop an effective partnership between school and parents.
To extend school learning and to reinforce skills and understanding.
To encourage pupils, as they get older, to develop the confidence and self-discipline to study on their own.
Arrangements for homework
Homework is planned to complement the work children are doing in the classroom and be appropriate for the age and ability of the pupils. All pupils will be given a reading and or homework diary, through which we hope to develop effective communications between parent, carers, pupils and teachers.
