Stamfordham First School
Deployment of Pupil Premium 2012-2013
ü Enriching the curriculum, for example: history workshops, artists, subsidised visits;
ü Targeted support, for example: intervention groups led by teaching assistants (TAs);
ü Extended school support, for example: after school clubs, residential visit.
There are two tiers to the emotional support work at Stamfordham First School:
The school has a Teaching Assistant who is a qualified as in emotional literacy support assistant (ELSA). She works with children and their families on a one-to-one basis as required.
Nurture groups operate as required, led by a trained member of staff to develop life skills and social skills. These are short-term interventions for pupils who would otherwise be too disruptive in class
For the year April 2012 to March 2013 the pupil premium funding was allocated in the following way: £10,600
Enriching the curriculum: £2,700
Targeted support: £4,500
Emotional and Pastoral Support: £3,400
An analysis of the school’s average point scores (APS) demonstrates that the school is closing the gap overall between FSM pupils and non-FSM pupils, forces families and non-forces families.
