SEND provision during COVID19

During the COVID19 crisis Offham Primary School will remain partially open for Key Worker and Vulnerable children. This provision (see information for Key Worker Children section) extends to children with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). However, in the interests of keeping my team as protected as possible we will only be running a skeleton and essential staff at Stamfordham. While the school provision will adhere to safe ratios and will take account of in place risk assessments, I will not be able to provide tailored teaching or 1:1 support staff for children with Special Educational needs. This will mean that we will not, as outlined in the above Governmental letter, be able to fully meet EHCP requirements in school at this time.

Our SEND team are fully committed to supporting all of our children with additional needs during this period of school closure.

Miss McKinney our SEND coordinator will be conducting weekly phone calls to check up on and offer support to our SEND parents and Mrs Jeffrey will be continuing ELSA sessions via video link (please be aware that we will need a parent or carer to be in the room during these sessions to comply with our online safeguarding requirements).

If you need any further help or guidance at all please contact them directly:
